Unit 4 – 12 Week Schedule

Unit 4 introduces the music staff. Children will be asked to read and write music. Explaining these concepts takes more time than previous lessons. Add more (or exclude) songs as necessary. Remember that we are aiming for 10-15 minutes of solfa twice per week. If you find that you need more material, feel free to use songs from previous units or from our list of songs for seasons and occasions.

Starting in week six, songs are scheduled from the Additional Practice and Ideas bonus lesson. Follow the same format you have been shown with “Starlight, Starbright,” “Lucy Locket,” and “Bye, Baby Bunting.”
